From July 2019, School of Rock and Media started a pilot shceme to run Certa Accredited Qualifications in Audio and Sound Production, Personal Development and DJing Skills. In the first 9 month, more than 15 students have graudated with new qualifications. This number is growing, as we develop more subjects, and increase our prospectus. 

Credits and Levels

All units (or modules) of accreditation have a level and credit value.
The level shows the complexity of the learning and the level of demand on learners.
One credit is equal to approximately 10 hours of learning and this is equal to the time the average learner would take to complete the unit.
Learners achieve credits by successfully completing individual units, or units combined to form part of a qualification or programme of learning.

Skill Level Descriptions

Entry level has three sub-levels that describe the achievements at Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3.
The ability to begin to make use of skills, knowledge or understanding with lots of guidance and support.
The ability to make use of the skills, knowledge and understanding to carry out simple, familiar tasks and activities with guidance and support.
The ability to make use of skills, knowledge and undertaking to carry out structured tasks and activities in familiar contexts, with guidance and support where needed.

Level 1
Level 2
The ability to use relevant knowledge, skills and procedures to complete routine tasks.
This includes responsibility for completing tasks and procedures with direction and guidance where needed.
The ability to select and use relevant knowledge, ideas, skills and procedures to complete well-defined tasks and manage straight forward problems autonomously.
This includes taking responsibility for completing tasks and procedures and exercising judgement, subject to direction and guidance.
The ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to complete tasks and address problems that are well-defined and have a measure of complexity.
This includes taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and procedures as well as exercising autonomy and judgement within limited parameters. It also reflects awareness of different perspectives or approaches with an area of study or work and the ability to analyse and evaluate the subject being studied.
